Stemming from a background in Wildlife Photography, Miles moved into Filmmaking during time spent in Thailand. Since then he has combined his passion for the still and moving image and worked on a variety of different projects ranging from Film & Television work, through to Event & Corporate projects whilst always maintaining his love of Wildlife photography and filmmaking along the way.

VIDEOGRAPHY

Production of Video and Film from initial concept development through product delivery, or anywhere in between. Miles is experienced in the whole production process being able to accommodate whatever your Filming or Video Production requirements may be.

With over 12 years experience in the Industry, Miles is an accomplished camera operator, Director of Photography, Editor and Video Producer. He has filmed out of, and under the water for a number of Television series, International Productions and features during his time in Malta as well as independently producing videos for varying clients and businesses.

Miles’ underwater camera work has also seen him volunteer for an NGO in Malta as well as filming thousands of people whilst working within the scuba diving industry. Please see some examples of his work below:

WORKSHOPS & TEACHING

Miles’ exciting workshops offer learning and development for varying levels in not just traditional photography but also into that elusive underwater world beneath our seas!

Miles teaches photography classes both above the water and for divers underwater. He also teaches underwater video classes upon request.

PHOTOGRAPHY COURSE – A land based course revolving around 10 sessions of theory and practical workshops.

BASIC UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY – An underwater photography course for beginners and people wishing to learn more about photographing our underwater world.

ADVANCED UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY – An advanced underwater photography course using DSLR cameras and strobes.

GOPRO UNDERWATER VIDEO COURSE – An underwater video course based on filming and editing with GoPro cameras.

ADVANCED UNDERWATER VIDEO COURSE – An advanced underwater filming course using professional equipment and lighting.

ABOUT MILES

Many years ago I found myself in Fiji about to embark on a journey that would ultimately change my life and lay down the foundations of the path which I still follow to this day. I had enrolled on a marine conservation project on an idyllic island located in the north of the country.

Yadua was the name of this beautiful paradise island and with my bags packed and disposable underwater camera in hand, I was ready!

It turned out that the disposable camera was to be the start of my adventure into underwater photography. During my months and many amazing dives on Yadua I was lucky enough to get some great pictures of incredible encounters with manta rays, reef sharks, turtles and much more.

Since then I have travelled to South Africa, Thailand, Egypt and Malta furthering my passion behind the underwater lens. Switching to Video camera’s during my time in Thailand opened up a whole new world to me, one which I very quickly fell in love with. I have been since filming and photographing in and out of the water and have been lucky enough to work and dive in some fantastic locations. Today I have over 2500 dives, most with camera in hand, and have been fortunate enough to experience some truly memorable encounters with many different kinds of marine life.

I hope that you enjoy looking at my photos and videos and that you can perhaps take something away from them. I hope to inspire and educate people about our underwater world and my next steps will hopefully let me work towards that goal even further.
